Navigating through the Mundellian Trilemma: A dataset of four decades

The dataset is comprised of 195 countries (i=1, 2…, 195) over the 1960-2017 period (t=1, 2…, 58), potentially yielding 11,310 country-year observations. The dataset does not include the United States, which is considered as the ``N-th country'', not subject to the constraints of the Trilemma. There are lot of missing observations, however, particularly for the EMEs during the 1960s and 1970s. This implies that the effective size is reduced in the range between 5,821 and 6,930 country-year observations for 167 countries, depending on the empirical specification.
