Persian - Scrambled Sentences Task (SST)

The Scrambled Sentence Task (SST) is a reliable psychological tool to study interpretation bias. In this test, individuals are given a series of scrambled six-word sentences that have to be rearranged into coherent five-word statements. Given the selection of words, individuals can only form either a positive or a negative sentence, which reflects their tendency to interpret ambiguous sentences in a positive or negative way. We developed the Persian version of this task and standardized it for the Persian-speaking community. The raw data included participants' depressive symptom severity scores (BDI), as well as the way they unscrambled the sentences (P: positive vs. N: negative).
