V4 region of 16S rRNA gene sequence reads of guinea pig cervical lymph node microbiota

This study conducted a comparative analysis of the cervical lymph node microbiota in healthy guinea pigs and those infected with lymphadenitis using a metataxonomic approach, specifically focusing on the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene through MiSeq high-throughput sequencing. The objective was to examine the cervical lymph node microbiota and compare the bacterial composition and diversity across these groups, with the potential to uncover microbial biomarkers unique to or shared among the groups.
