This project explores the role of thiazolidin-2-cyanamide derivatives in suppressing bacterial blight in rice caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae. The study demonstrates how these compounds target the type III secretion system (T3SS) of Xoo and their impact on the rice leaf microbiome. Using high-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing, the bacterial communities of healthy, infected, and treated rice leaves were analyzed. The results show that compound treatment not only inhibits the pathogen but also rebalances the leaf microbiome, enriching beneficial microbial taxa. This dataset includes bacterial community profiles from rice leaves under different conditions, providing insights into the interplay between pathogen virulence, microbiome modulation, and ecological safety.
