Latitudinal gradient of copepod functional diversity in the South Atlantic Ocean

We revisited the Tara Oceans zooplankton collection aiming to enlarge the latitudinal gradient of copepod diversity in the South Atlantic and Southern Ocean, which provided a unique opportunity to access a large variety of ecosystems, from tropical to polar waters, identifying copepods to the species level using morphological taxonomy. The sampling were carried out with a zooplankton WP2 net (200µm). The dataset contains: (1) sampling and environmental data, (2) raw counts, composition and taxonomic identification of the copepod species community, and (3) copepod traits data.
