资源简介:
This dataset contains bibliography of published scientific and grey literature of relevance to study cannabis-related public policy in India over time. It has a total of 128 documents published over 1859-2020 period providing commentary about cannabis-related policy/issues historically till the early part of 21st century in India. This bibliography was produced as part of a scoping review to map alcohol-related public policies in India since its industrial scale production in India. Documents were sourced through systematic searches using keywords related to cannabis and policy in the two major social science databases: the EBSCO Host, and JSTOR. This scoping review was part of a broader research initiative titled, DRITHI (Developing Research and Action Capacities to Counter Harm Industries) - a historical comparative public policy study across the four psychoactive substances (tobacco, alcohol, cannabis and opium). The search for literature was limited to time period of 1600-2024 and to English language. The search for EBSCO Host: [cannabis OR marijuana OR hemp OR tetrahydrocannabinol OR cannabidiol OR hashish OR ganja OR charas OR bhang]<i> </i>AND [policy OR law OR statute* OR legislation OR regulation OR notification OR control OR prohibit* OR excise OR revenue OR tax OR restrict* OR licens*] AND [India]. The search for JSTOR: [ti:cannabis OR marijuana OR hemp OR tetrahydrocannabinol OR cannabidiol OR hashish OR ganja OR charas OR bhang] AND [policy OR law OR regulation OR control OR prohibit OR license OR tax OR revenue] AND [India]. ANG and SS independently reviewed titles and abstracts of all sourced documents for their inclusion/exclusion in the review. They developed consensus on inclusion/exclusion decision and the documents, where consensus could not be achieved, were referred to UB for the final decision. Our sole intention of publishing this bibliography is that it may be of help to other researchers/actors interested in cannabis related policy/issues in India.
