Argentine stem weevil microcosm transcriptomics to investigate biocontrol resistance

Transcriptomics were used to investigate the potential of a genetic resistance mechanism to explain declining parasitism rates by the biocontrol agent Microctonus hyperodae. This experiment specifically investigated the potential for genetic resistance mechanisms acting prior to parasitism i.e. those which explain whether or not an ASW was attacked. This dataset contains ASW which were observed being attacked but interrupted to prevent parasitism, as well as parasitised ASW which contain reads from both the ASW and M. hyperodae egg.
