Special instructions: County museum. George Adams, chief taxidermist for County Museum, works on mule deer which he himself shot and mounted. Note to pic ed: These animals are not stuffed but plaster forms are created from clay models over which are glued the skins. Nail pictures -- nails used to hold skin to mold while glue sets. Cast used to reproduce tendons, veins and muscles. Adams formerly with American Museum of Natural History. George Adams, chief taxidermist for County Museum and formerly with American Museum of Natural History, NYC, studies miniature model of Kodiak bear. Miniature sets are made first before the life-size jobs are created for the museum".
