Differences in PD-1+CD57- CD8+ T cells versus other CD8+ memory T cells and in control versus hypertensive individuals

The primary goal was to determine the phenotype of PD-1+CD57- CD8+ T cells compared to other CD8+ memory T cells based on single cell RNA sequencing. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from control and hypertensive samples were included. Secondary analyses include comparing gene expression changes in these cells between control and hypertensive individuals. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were isolated from 4 healthy control and 4 hypertensive individuals, stained with hashtags and extracellular antibodies, and loaded onto the 10X Genomics controller for single cell sequencing. Antibodies were used for targeting PD-1+CD57- CD8+ memory T cells. The 4 healthy control samples were hashed together and 4 hypertensive samples were hashed together.
