We performed spatial transcriptomics to characterize wound tissue response to commensal and pathogenic staphylococcus strains. Our analysis has revealed unique epithelial responses to each strain. Murine intact dorsal skin and dorsal skin wounds that were treated with different staph strains were embedded in the same FFPE block and then analyzed using spatial transcriptomics.
