2019 SCOPE Gradients, Water Column Data

This dataset is from the Gradients 3 cruise (KM1906) conducted April 10- April 29, 2019 in the North Pacific Ocean. CTD/rosette profiles were taken down to 1000 meters and samples were collected from niskin bottles attached to the CTD and used to generate concentrations of oxygen, inorganic nutrients, and pigment concentrations. Temperature and salinity were derived from CTD sensors. Details on methods used are available at https://hahana.soest.hawaii.edu/hot/methods/chl.html. The Gradients 3 cruise is a component of the SCOPE-Gradients program (http://scope.soest.hawaii.edu/data/gradients/gradients.html) and was designed to test conceptual and mathematical models of biogeochemical organization across transition zones between different ecosystems.
