Mutations in the lacZ gene

This is the raw data representing 6,465 independent lacZ mutations from multiple MutaMouse experiments. We curated lacZ mutations from published studies that were collected using a positive selection assay to identify mutations in lacZ that disrupted β-gal function. These 6,465 independent lacZ mutations cause in 2,732 missense mutations that impair β-gal function. The data were used in a publication on the functional mutational landscape of the lacZ gene.
