Moree Water Park Nature Refuge

This project continues revegetation work being undertaken by the Moree Water Ski Club (MWSC) partnering with the Moree Plains Shire Council (MPSC), Job link Plus and the Work for the Dole program to create a Nature Reserve within the Moree Water Park. This 20 Million Tree project will establish a further 9,000 plants on 55 hectares of land. The focus is on tree and native shrub species that will further support native birds and reptiles, particularly those attracted by the adjoining man-made lakes.
Threatened Ecological Communities involved: White Box-Yellow Box-Blakely's Red Gum Grassy Woodland and Derived Native Grassland
