Literature review of energy poverty definitions and indicators

This data set was compiled for a systematic literature review that addressed the question, "to what extent is energy poverty literature evolving to incorporate measurement for a wellbeing perspective?"The full methods description is available in the published article, which can be accessed Open Access at Energy Research and Social Science at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.erss.2026.104583Please cite the original manuscript if this data is used.The data set includes two tabs. Both contain information on author, year, title, and Nvivo File reference for each coded row. The first tab contains content on Country of study, Dominant terminology, Equally dominant terminology, Conception of energy poverty, Definition or equivalent, and the wellbeing Typology that we allocated the definition to in subsequent coding. The second tab contains the Dimension underlying energy poverty, sub-divisions of these Dimensions, and Indicators used in prior studies to assess energy poverty.
