The D. helophoroides adults were soaked in lambda-cyhalothrin (0.08mg/L, using acetone as control) for 3-5s and then reared under laboratory conditions for 24h. With three biological replicates, two insects were randomly collected from each treatment group and were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogen. Total RNA was extracted from different samples using the TRIzol reagent. RNA quality was confirmed by gel electrophoresis, and the quantity was determined using a Nanodrop spectrophotometer. Sequencing libraries were generated using an Illumina TruSeq Stranded mRNA Library Prep Kitand sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 2500 sequencer.
