Alterations of the bacterial ocular surface microbiome are found in both eyes of horses with unilateral infectious ulcerative keratitis

The goal of this study was to determine the microbiota of horses with infected ulcers. Furthermore, to compare to the fellow eye devoid of disease and to the eyes of healthy horses serving as a control, to determine if host factors may lead to changes in the ocular microbial community.
