Laundry to Landscape Greywater Quality in Santa Clara County, California

With the increase in potable water scarcity, many agencies in different parts of the world have invested in water conservation programs, such as laundry-to-landscape (L2L) greywater systems, which reuse washing machine greywater for irrigation. This Data was gathered as part of a field study for my thesis research. Twenty-one greywater characteristics of thirty households with Laundry to landscape greywater systems in Santa Clara County, California, were analyzed. pH, electrical conductivity (Ec), sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), nitrogen, sodium (Na), calcium (Ca), Fecal Coliform (FC), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), sodium (Na), chlorine (Cl), total dissolved solids (TDS), NO3 (as nitrate), phosphorus, carbonate CO3 as (CaCO3), bicarbonate HCO3 as (HCO3), total organic carbon (TOC), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), boron (B) and Sulfate (SO4) were analyzed in the lab. Also, the plants irrigated with greywater, whether households were following California plumbing code, and system age were recorded as well.随着全球饮用水短缺问题愈发严峻，世界各地的诸多机构已投入节水项目建设，例如洗衣到景观（Laundry-to-Landscape, L2L）灰水系统——该系统可将洗衣机产生的灰水回收用于景观灌溉。 本数据集源自本人学位论文的实地研究项目，对美国加利福尼亚州圣克拉拉县30户安装有L2L灰水系统的家庭开展分析，共涵盖21项灰水特征指标。实验室检测分析的指标包括：pH值、电导率（electrical conductivity, Ec）、钠吸附比（sodium adsorption ratio, SAR）、氮、钠（Na）、钙（Ca）、粪大肠菌群（Fecal Coliform, FC）、镁（Mg）、钾（K）、钙（Ca）、钠（Na）、氯（Cl）、总溶解固体（total dissolved solids, TDS）、以硝酸盐计的NO3、磷、以碳酸钙计的碳酸根CO3、以碳酸氢根计的HCO3、总有机碳（total organic carbon, TOC）、生化需氧量（biochemical oxygen demand, BOD）、铁（Fe）、锰（Mn）、硼（B）以及硫酸盐（SO4）。 此外，本研究还记录了采用灰水灌溉的植物种类、受访家庭是否遵守加州管道规范，以及系统的使用时长。
