These data correspond to the article “Syn-eruptive hydration of volcanic ash records pyroclast-water interaction in explosive eruptions” by Hudak et al. published in Geophysical Research Letters. Table S1 includes mean bulk H2O and δD results for Redoubt tephra. Table 2 lists individual bulk H2O and δD results for Redoubt tephra. Table 3 records the mean bulk H2O, corrected glass H2O, and δD results calculated by combining weakly magnetic and nonmagnetic splits of Redoubt ash. Finally, table 4 offers H2O and δD results from hornblende separates from Redoubt tephra.
