Five P. acuta were collected from a pond in Braunschweig, Germany. Snails were transferred to laboratory in two hours and kept in room temperature. After 24 hours, snails were washed with tap water and sterilized with 70% ethanol to wipe the shells. Snails with shells crashed using a sterile pestle and transferred in 1.5ml eppendorf tube with 500ul sterile water. The homogenized sample was used for cultivating actinobacteria and DNA extraction.
