The effect of maternal undernutrition on transcriptional profiles in fetal livers

Twenty healthy pregnant ewes gestating for 108 days and carrying multiple fetuses were enrolled in this study. All ewes were fed ad libitum for a 7-day adaption period. These ewes were allocated to two groups (10 ewes in each group) randomly at 115 days of gestation. Ewes in the control (CON) group were fed normally, while ewes in the treated (TR) group were subjected to a 70% level feed restriction for 15 days. After 15-day treatment, all ewes were sacrificed, and fetal liver samples were all collected for transcriptome analysis.
