Geospatial baseline data for sea level rise analysis: Lido di Venezia and Alberoni Oasis, Venice Lagoon, Italy
收藏资源简介:
Overview This dataset provides pre-processed geospatial data for the sea level rise impact assessment on habitats Alberoni Oasis, a protected Natura2000 site at the southern tip of Lido di Venezia. It includes digital elevation models (DEMs) and administrative/boundary vectors for Alberoni Oasis and Lido di Venezia. This baseline data was developed for and utilized in the ACCREU WP3 Case Study 3.2 sea level rise impact analysis (van Tilburg et al., 2025). All data are projected to EPSG 3035 (ETRS89-extended / LAEA Europe) and aligned to a common ~10 m resolution grid. File Descriptions 1. Digital Elevation Models 1.1 Lido di Venezia Digital Elevation Model (dem_lido_cropped_original_epsg3035.tif) Digital elevation model cropped to Lido di Venezia boundary, preserving all elevation values including sub sea-level areas. Produced by cropping TINITALY DEM (Tarquini et al., 2023 tile # W50075) to the Lido polygon using terra::crop() and terra::masked(), reprojected to EPSG3035 for consistency with other datasets. Format: GeoTIFF Resolution: ~10 x 10 m Valid land cells: ~75 327 (actual land area ~7.5 km2) Elevation range: -2.99 m to 7.48 m (mean 1.53 m) Cells below 0 m (sea-level): 51 (area 0.0051 km2) Comments: The Lido polygon used to crop the original DEM includes coastal groins and intertidal zones, not just dry land. Total polygon area is ~7.5 km2, while published figues cite ~4 km2 for dry land only. This larger polygon represents the ocmplete hydrological unit appropriate for SLR vulnerability analyis. 1.2 Alberoni Oasis Didital Elevation Model (dem_alberoni_cropped_original_epsg3035.tif) Digital elevation model cropped to Alberoni Oasis boundary, preserving all elevation values including sub sea-level areas. Produced by cropping TINITALY DEM (Tarquini et al., 2023 tile # W50075) to the Alberoni Oasis polygon using terra::crop() and terra::masked(), reprojected to EPSG3035 for consistency with other datasets. Format: GeoTIFF CRS: EPSG 3035 Resolution: ~10 x 10 m Total cells: 36 225 (actual land area ~3.61 km2) Elevation range: 0 m to 2.93 m (mean 1.35 m) Cells below 0 m (sea-level): 0 Comments: No sub sea-level cells in this area. Represents the Natura2000 protected area at the southern tip of Lido di Venezia. 2. Vector Boundaries 2.1 Lido di Venezia polygon boundary including groins (lido_vec_epsg3035/lido_vec_epsg3035.shp) Extracted from OpenStreetMap in web browser with web-based mining tool for OpenStreetMap overpass turbo. In OpenStreetMap, search for 'Isola del Lido' (2681475) v11 (Wikidata: Q226221). Next, open overpass turbo in a different tab. Paste the following API query into the editing box, and click "Run". Afterwards, export as GeoJSON or another format compatible with GIS software. /* Start Query */[out:json][timeout:25];// Find all elements tagged with the specified Wikidata ID( nwr["wikidata"="Q226221"];);// Output the dataout body;>;out skel qt;/* End Query */ Format: shp CRS: EPSG 3035 Area: ~7.5 km2 (includes groins and intertidal zones) Comments: Includes coastal groins extending into the lagoon and sea. Dry land is ~4 km2, this polygon represents the larger hydrological unit for SLR analysis. Accompanying .shx, .dbf, and .prj files included. 2.2 Alberoni Oasis (part of Natura2000 site IT3250023) polygon boundary (alberoni_oasis_vec_epsg3035/alberoni_oasis_vec_epsg.shp) Extracted from the Natura2000 dataset (European Environment Agency, 2024) by filtering by SITECODE == "IT3250023". Disaggregated multi-part geometry (IT3250023 comprises three seperate polygons, including Alberoni Oasis), and clipped Alberoni Oasis. Reprojected to EPSG:3025. CRS: EPSG 3035 Area: 3.61 km2 Comments: Inclusive of the projected dune habitat area. Does not cover the entire Lido di Venezia, only the southern protected part. Accompanying .shx, .dbf, and .prj files included. 3. Metadata Files for DEMs Metadata files for each DEM, documenting spatial properties, elevation statistics, below sea-level analysis, and implications for SLR modeling. dem_lido_cropped_original_metadata.txt dem_alberoni_cropped_original_metadata.txt 4. Processing Workflow Complete R script documenting the entire geospatial processing pipeline.
