Data for "Prediction of overturning crest dynamics and subsurface air-cavity geometry from local wave properties in breaking events"

This dataset contains case-by-case measurements used in the manuscript “Prediction of overturning crest dynamics and subsurface air-cavity geometry from local breaking wave properties”. The data include overturning crest/falling-jet dynamics, jet-tip displacements and impact velocities, local wave properties at incipient breaking, and trapped air-cavity geometry for laboratory-generated breaking-wave events from the SIREN, BUBER, and EURUS data sets. These data support the results shown in Figures 1–3 of the manuscript and are released under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
