This series of four volumes provides a record of the files of the Electricity Commission of New South Wales.The information given in each volume includes: number (file number), location (usually annotated with 'B', 'Cancelled' or a date), subject (description of the file and any cross-references to other files), and a column for noting other actions including 'destroyed', sent to storage, parts (e.g. 1, 2), and date (possibly of the actions recorded in this column).  The date of file registration is not recorded.The file descriptions cover a wide range of administrative and technical matters, indicating that these registers controlled the main file system for the Commission. Single numbers are allocated from 1 in Volume 1, ending with 58734 in Volume 4. The volumes are made up of standard printed, loose pages fixed between hardcovers.
