Community Profiles Viewer Data

This dataset is used in the Community Profiles Viewer and contains data from the Arizona Department of Health Services, including birth and death certificates and hospital discharge data, U.S. Census Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and other publicly available datasets. The Community Profiles Viewer is a user-friendly mapping tool developed by the Arizona Department of Health Services to help users explore community-level indicators related to population demographics, social determinants of health, health outcomes, access to primary care services and environmental health. Purpose/Use These indicators support: Understanding community-level health data and demographics Comparing trends across geographic areas Informing public health planning, reporting, and outreach Visualizing health data in relation to demographic and healthcare access information Data Limitations/Notes Data represents aggregated counts, rates estimates; no individual-level records or exact counts are included Rates/estimates may fluctate in areas with small population counts Survey-based indicators are subject to sampling error and margins of error Data updates on a variable cycle, based on the individual data sources Some attributes may lag by 1-2 years, based on the individual data sources Intended for planning, reporting, and visualization, not for individual diagnosis For more information on update frequency and data sources, view the searchable Community Profiles Data Dictionary.
