This dataset is developed based on the arid climatic features of the Alxa Plateau-Hexi Corridor desert region. Taking the Hexi Corridor and Alxa Plateau of China as the core investigation areas, and covering adjacent regions including the Mazong Mountains, the western Qilian Mountains, the arid central Gansu region and other areas, field surveys were conducted on vegetation types distributed across these regions from 2017 to 2021, including shrub deserts, semi-shrub and dwarf semi-shrub deserts, dwarf semi-arbor deserts, succulent halophytic dwarf semi-shrub deserts, annual herbaceous deserts and other vegetation types.
