Metallic kagome systems have raised in the recent years as a new type of materials hosting topological flat bands, Dirac crossings, van Hove singularities, etc. that intertwine with charge density waves (CDW), magnetism and superconductivity. FeGe is particularly interesting since its multiple-Q CDWs, coexisting with AFM order, populate the phase diagram. In this proposal, we want to discern the orbital and spin character of the vHs at the M and L points that drive the CDW in FeGe by means of ARPES and spin-ARPES. Our results, combined with the diffuse scattering data and the theoretical approach, will reveal the nature of the charge ordered phase in a prototype magnetic kagome material and its implications for the rapidly growing field of correlated topological materials.
