Dataset Description This dataset accompanies the article “3D Numerical Modeling of Compressible and Cohesive Granular Flow Impact on Narrow Obstacles” published in Computational Particle Mechanics. It includes appendix material, and raw numerical time-series data with corresponding plots. The simulations were performed using the 3D Material Point Method (MPM) with a finite-strain cohesive Cam-Clay–type constitutive model (see publication for details). The dataset provides, for each simulation case: Impact force (Fx):Totoal flow-wise contact force on the obstacle, computed from accumulated grid-based contact impulses. Impact pressure (σₓₓ):Material point-sampled volume-averaged Cauchy stress component in the flow direction within the impact domain. Compaction (ρ₁/ρ₀):Normalized density evolution, computed from the total Material Point mass within the sampling domain. The quantities are provided as raw time histories for each simulation case, without filtering or post-processing. The data allow determination of peak loads, steady-state mean values, and the overall temporal evolution of force, pressure and local compaction during granular impact.
