自然土壤的矿物质都是由大小不同的土粒组成的,各个粒级在土壤中所占的相对比例或质量分数,称为土壤机械组成。土壤机械组成不仅是土壤分类的重要诊断指标,也是影响土壤水、肥、气、热状况,物质迁移转化及土壤退化过程研究的重要因素,还是土壤地理研究、与农业生产相关的土壤改良、土建工程和区域水分循环过程等研究的重要内容。本数据集是基于2010-2018全国土系调查数据,采用地理加权回归、随机森林等数字土壤制图方法生成的中国1公里分辨率30-60cm的土壤粉粒含量数据,机械组成划分使用美国制标准(黏粒<0.002mm;粉粒0.05-0.002mm;砂粒0.05-2mm);
Minerals in natural soil consist of soil particles of various sizes. The relative proportion or mass fraction of each particle size fraction in the soil is defined as soil mechanical composition. Soil mechanical composition is not only an important diagnostic indicator for soil classification, but also a critical factor influencing soil water, nutrient, air and thermal regimes, material migration and transformation, and soil degradation processes, as well as a key research subject for soil geography studies, agricultural production-related soil improvement, civil engineering, and regional water cycle research. This dataset is generated based on national soil series survey data from 2010 to 2018, using digital soil mapping methods including geographically weighted regression (GWR) and random forest, to produce 1-kilometer resolution soil silt content data for the 30–60 cm soil depth across China. The soil mechanical composition is classified according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) standard: clay <0.002 mm; silt 0.002–0.05 mm; sand 0.05–2 mm;
