The view is westward over the Pacific Ocean and it was cold and clear at sunrise. Refracted solar altitude ε is shown in each frame. The video was taken in the time-lapse mode with a 2 second frame interval. When played back at 30 frames/sec, time compression was 60:1, resulting in 1 second of video time = 1 minute of real time. The video was taken with a GoPro Hero 4 Black on Dec 31, 2015 from Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (35.106070, -120.630673) near Pismo Beach, CA.
