This dataset provides Digital Image Correlation (DIC) strain data for minerals, specifically biotite, plagioclase, quartz, and amphibole, as they undergo temperature changes. The DIC technique is used to measure the strain distribution within these minerals, providing valuable insights into their mechanical behavior and deformation characteristics in response to thermal variations. The thermal strain of mineral grain and grain boundary are obtain by averaging the thermal strain of micro-pillars as the listed in the following table.
