The Spot Price Indices for Cocoon, High-quality Raw Silk and Pure Silk Satin are the only national indices that reflect price changes of cocoon, silk and satin products. The Spot Silk Satin Index is generated based on the quoted prices and output of price survey entities, as well as the market share of each satin variety.
1. Variety Selection: 13 regional characteristic satin varieties, which are adjusted annually in line with market changes.
2. Data Collection: Price survey entities submit the transaction prices of each satin variety and the output capacity of the corresponding product of the enterprise in the previous year.
3. Calculation Method: The third-generation Fisher Ideal Index formula is primarily adopted. First, calculate the weighted average price of each variety based on its output capacity weight, then determine the commensurate factors, incorporate them into the model with weighted market shares, and finally generate the Spot Silk Satin Index.
4. Base Period: January 1, 2022, with a base index value of 100.

Price statistics of a single satin variety can help make direct judgments on the product, but cannot reflect the overall price level of the satin market.
