Human gut Raw sequence reads

Alterations in the composition of the intestinal microbiota have been reported in patients with PD vs healthy controls, however the composition in patients vs. controls in Latin America has not been characterized and its function is still unclear in the context of this disease. To address this problem, fecal matter was obtained from Colombian participants (n = 25 PD idiopathic cases, n = 25 controls) for the analysis of rRNA16S information. Stool samples from these individuals were analyzed through 16S rRNA gene sequencing. An analysis of diversity, differential composition and individualized computational modeling was carried out, taking into account the fecal bacterial composition of each participant.
