16S amplicon sequencing of intestinal and crop contents from squabs

16S amplicon sequencing technology was used to analyze the bacterial community structure in the gastrointestinal tract of 1-4 week old squabs of the White King breed. The bacterial community in the crop of 1-week-old squabs was also determined. The aim was to analyze the changes in the squabs' gut microbiota, particularly to compare the differences between the crop and intestinal bacterial communities in 1-week-old squabs, and to explore the succession process of gut microbiota in meat-type squabs.
