In this study, we investigated copy number aberrations (CNAs) or 12 renal cell carcinoma cell lines, by 44K oligonucleotide-based array comparative genomic hybridization (array CGH). The result indicated that the patterns of genomic profiles of these cell lines were similar to those shown in RCC cases, including frequent 14q loss as well as 3p loss. In addition, other CNAs, for example, 1q gain and 13q loss were observed.
