Upper Wimmera Sallow Wattle control

This project will locate, map and eradicate all infestations of Sallow Wattle. Sallow Wattle is a well established weed in the northern half of the Grampians National Park (GNP). Satellite infestations are present in the Upper Wimmera Catchment (UWC) due to this species being planted in private gardens and early revegetation projects. Infestations are currently known to exist along roadsides and in areas of remnant vegetation. Due to the highly invasive and competitive nature of Sallow Wattle as shown by the massive problem in the GNP, early intervention is the key to halting and reversing it spread. Sallow Wattle has previously been given little attention in our area so many unknown infestations are likely to exist.
