Arts Council England subsidies 2021-2024, by industry

Total subsidies granted to arts and cultural organizations regularly funded by the Arts Council England (ACE) decreased by 3.2 percent in 2023/2024 compared to the previous fiscal year. According to an ACE analysis based on a constant sample of 673 organizations, theaters reported the highest figure, receiving around 107 million British pounds in subsidies between April 2023 and March 2024. Combined arts organizations followed in the ranking, with roughly 71 million British pounds in ACE subsidies that year. Arts Council England is the national development agency providing government and lottery funding for the arts in England.
