This dataset presents spatially distributed forest vegetation type data for Hebei Province spanning 2013 to 2017, with a scale of 1:1,000,000. The data is sourced from the China Forest Vegetation Survey Project of the Research Institute of Forest Resource Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The project was developed using multiple data sources including partial historical vegetation distribution maps, historical forest distribution maps, 2012 TM imagery, 1990s TM imagery, 250,000-scale DEM data, and field plot survey data, and was rigorously processed in accordance with relevant regulations specified in *Specification for Forest Vegetation Classification, Survey and Mapping* (2019). This dataset is in vector format, with attribute fields covering province, city, district/county, forest class group, forest class subgroup, forest class, forest order group, forest order subgroup, forest order, forest system group, forest system subgroup, and forest system. It provides data support and services for forest resource surveys, planning and design, and other related applications.
