Horsham District Council Article 4 Directions. An Article 4 Direction is made by a local planning authority. It restricts the scope of permitted development rights either in relation to a particular area or site, or a particular type of development anywhere in the authority’s area. Where an article 4 direction is in effect, a planning application may be required for development that would otherwise have been permitted development. Article 4 Directions are used to control works that could threaten the character of an area of acknowledged importance, such as a conservation area. This data depicts the areas of the Horsham district covered by this type of control order. Polygon data captured against Ordnance Survey Mastermap from boundary alignments marked on official designation maps and has been projected to WGS84. This Data was extracted on 29/08/2024. It is formatted for the Open Digital Planning Hub project. Attribute fields include: 1. REFERENCE = Unique Identifier; 2. NAME = Type of Direction; 3. DESCRIPTION = Title of the Direction; 4. STATUS = Confirmed or not confirmed; 5. UPRN = If the geometry is the boundary of a building the UPRN has been provided; 6. ADDRESS = If the geometry is the boundary of a building the address has been provided; 7. PERMITTED_DEVELOPMENT_RIGHTS = A list of the permitted development rights withdrawn by the article 4 direction. Separated in a list using semicolons; 8. START_DATE = The date that the article 4 direction came into force, written in YYYY-MM-DD format; 9. CEASE_DATE = If applicable, the date that the article 4 direction was no longer in effect, written in YYYY-MM-DD format. If this does not apply the cell is blank; 10. ENTRY_DATE = The date the entity was last updated. If the entity has never been updated, this is the same date as start-date. Written in YYYY-MM-DD format. 11.
