资源简介:
This dataset contains Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) measurements collected using a 500 megahertz (MHz) antenna at two snow fences located at the Toolik Field Station on the North Slope of Alaska. The data were acquired in a grid pattern both in front of and behind each snow fence to capture spatial variability in subsurface conditions. The primary objective was to compare GPR responses between areas with substantial snow accumulation (drift zones behind the fences) and adjacent control areas with minimal or no snowpack. These observations aim to support studies of snowpack influence on soil moisture, thaw depth, and permafrost dynamics in Arctic tundra environments.
