Validation of TRANSLATE Climate Projections for Constraining Interannual Dry and Wet Conditions and for Assessing the Impact of Climate Change on Groundwater Levels
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes data related to the comprehensive assessment carried out to validate TRANSLATE climate projections for Ireland. It focuses on the ability of TRANSLATE projections to represent interannual variability in wet and dry conditions (i.e., consecutive wet and dry years) and the consequent implications for groundwater flood and drought modelling. The dataset includes the input data used for the evaluation, the assessment outcomes, and the documentation developed to report and disseminate the project results, as well as a list of recommendations for using TRANSLATE climate projections to assess climate change impacts on groundwater levels. The readme files within the directories provide detailed information about the content of the dataset. This dataset was produced as part of a GSI Short Call 2024 project, funded by Geological Survey Ireland and led by MKO with the support of CDMSmith, Geological Survey Ireland, Met Éireann, and the Irish Centre for High-End Computing. The project, titled "Validation of TRANSLATE for constraining interannual dry and wet conditions and for assessing the impact of climate change on groundwater levels" (grant number: 2024-SC-021), aims to enhance confidence in climate change impact studies relevant to groundwater resources. This research project used a methodology that derives from a research and development project in the United States, which is currently being patented [1]. Access to the dataset will be restricted until the patent process is completed.
