Dynamics of Cross-Shelf Plumes under Upwelling Wind Conditions: RoboCAT Mean Flow & Turbulence Data (April 12-15, 2023), Winyah Bay, SC, USA
收藏资源简介:
The dataset in the attached mat files is that of near surface flow data from a Nortek 1000 Signature acoustic Doppler profiler (AD2CP). The unit was installed on an autonomous surface platform (RoboCAT) and designed to collect profiles of flow and turbulence data extending close to the sea surface. The data collection took place within and in the vicinity of the plume off Winyah Bay, SC, USA. The data presented are fully processed for 3-D flow and turbulence dissipation profiles. The latter are estimates from the 5th, vertical beam of the AD2CP using the structure function method as described in Zeiden et al. (2023). A description of data and how to read them (in MATLAB(r)) can be found in the attached PDF file and in the relevant *.mlx file named RoboCAT_Apr23.mlx. The latter provides samples of matlab scripts and instructions on how to successfully read the data in the mat files. The platform was deployed from the R/V Savannah during the period April 12 - 15, 2023 as part of the U.S. National Science Foundation research project titled: Collaborative Research: Dynamcis of Cross-Shelf Plumes under Upwelling Wind Conditions (Grant Nos 2148479 and 2148480). Shipborne data (met and other) from the R/V Savannah are available from the "Rolling Deck to Repository" and can be accessed in: https://www.rvdata.us/search/cruise/SAV-23-06.
