Fongbe to French Speech Translation Corpus (FFSTC)

FFSTC is the first speech translation dataset targeting Fongbe-to-French translation, co-developed by the Institute of Mathematics and Physical Sciences and OPSCIDIA. This dataset contains approximately 31 hours of Fongbe speech content paired with French transcriptions, covering diverse topics and speakers. Constructed through multiple collection methods and the efforts of professionals, it aims to advance the development of speech translation technologies for understudied languages. Application scenarios of FFSTC include promoting cross-cultural communication and improving the accessibility of educational resources, particularly in West Africa.
