RNA activation (RNAa) is the phenomena resposible for RNA based gene activation involving small RNA molecules known as Small activating RNAs (saRNAs) targeted against the promoter. saRNAdb is the first attempt to integrate information of experimentally verified saRNAs, proteins involved in the process and their interacting proteins.RNA激活（RNA activation, RNAa）是一类介导基于RNA的基因激活的生物学现象，其涉及靶向启动子区域的小型激活RNA（Small activating RNAs, saRNAs）这类小RNA分子。saRNAdb是首个整合经实验验证的小型激活RNA、该过程所涉及的蛋白质及其互作蛋白信息的数据库。
