African swine fever virus genomes from Cameroon

Genomes of African swine fever virus isolates collected in Cameroon in 1982, 1994 and 2018 and held in the Pirbright Institute African swine fever reference collection were sequenced using a combined nanopore and Illumina approach. Comparative analysis between these and related genomes show the evolution of the virus over time and provide reference sequences for future analyses of virus evolution in Western Africa.
