Daily monitoring of litter accumulation rates on two Chilean urban beaches, in relation to rainfall and wind conditions

This dataset was generated as part of a long-term monitoring study of two urban beaches in northern-central Chile. It contains daily records of litter accumulation rates collected at La Herradura and Changa beaches. The dataset includes counts of different litter types (e.g., bottle caps, lighters, plastic cutlery, chululos, red meshes, and ropes), their sources (land-based or sea-based), and the total litter recorded per sampling day.Each entry contains the sampling date, litter type and quantity, site information, and calculated litter accumulation (items km⁻¹ day⁻¹).
