Global stony coral occurrence points & estimated species diversity

"all_points.csv" includes occurrence records of stony corals; it was originally downloaded from Global Biodiversity Information Facility and Ocean Biodiversity Information System, then cleaned and reshaped. This data was used to analyze geographical patterns of stony coral diversity: Kusumoto, B., Costello, M. J., Kubota, Y., Shiono, T., Wei, C. L., Yasuhara, M., & Chao, A. (2020). Global distribution of coral diversity: Biodiversity knowledge gradients related to spatial resolution. Ecological Research, 35(2), 315-326.

"stony.coral_diversity.csv" includes estimated species diversities at q = 0, 1, 2 (species richness, Shannon diversity, and Simpson diversity). The species number from stacked expert range-maps (Veron 2000) is also included for comparison.
