High-level Azithromaycin-resistant (HL-AziR) gonococcal strains have been isolated in many regions. The spread of these strains is a concern because they make dual therapy with ceftriaxone and Azithromycin difficult. There is little information about these resistant strains. Recently, we isolated HL-AziR gonococcal strain, GU115-5. We analysed whole-genome sequence of the strain.
