Whole-genome sequencing of Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolates from retail shrimp obtained through farmers' markets and online platforms in China

This project reports whole-genome sequencing of Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolates recovered from retail Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) collected from traditional farmers' markets and online retail platforms in Jiashan County, China. The genomes were analyzed to investigate phenotypic adaptation, stress tolerance, biofilm formation, virulence-associated genes, and antimicrobial resistance profiles associated with different seafood distribution channels.
