Canadian Ice Service Archive (CISA)

The Canadian Ice Service Archive (CISA) is divided into three major sections: 1) the Archive Data section, 2)the Climatic Products section, 3)the Latest, Past and Future Ice conditions section. The Archive Data section provides access to the Canadian Ice Service's on-line ice charts (including Regionals since 1968 and Dailies since 1999) as well as to ice thickness data for Canadian stations. For more information about CIS archive data please visit the Archive Data Overview page. The Climatic Products section introduces the CIS Digital Archive - Regional Charts dataset used in the production of our climatic products. Various climate products based on this dataset such as climatic ice atlases, ice cover graphs for climate variability and departure from normal products are also introduced and accessible on-line. For more information on the CISDA and CIS climatic products, please visit the Climatic Products Overview page. The Latest, Past and Future Ice conditions section provides information about current ice conditions for the Canadian Arctic , the Great Lakes and the Canadian East Coast but can also show statistical information on past ice conditions over these areas.
