Personalised, Explainable, Closed-loop Control for Type 1 Diabetes

By taking a range of studies' Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) data, standardising it and making the database accessible, before using the wider range of patients to better represent the diversity of humanity, can we gain better control algorithm performance? The research will make use of the T1DEXI data by ingesting it into a database, standardising it to allow other researchers to make use of it across different studies. The exercise data provided by T1DEXI is specifically key, as multiple types of data (food, exercise, etc) have to be combined with Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) data to get a better contextualised model, and therefore better performance
